Saggy Bottom
« on: January 27, 2014, 02:13:45 PM »

My 03 SED seems to be lower in the rear compared to the front height, in-other-words, it dose'nt look level going down the street (I would never look in the store windows).  Could it be that sitting for 11 years the springs have settled?  I wonder if I should increase the preload just a hair, the ride is just a shade soft.

Thank you for the help

You could certainly adjust the preload, but after 11 years you've probably got some serious sag to the springs.

I have had mine apart, (rear shocks) and have adjusted the preload a few times to get it right. With that being said, these came with 1" lowers rear suspension factory. When do you see it saggy? Just parked or when you ride? Ground clearance should be 4.7" what does yours measure? More info and I possibly can help.
