Sudden New Bike
« on: May 29, 2014, 01:06:20 PM »

Well after not even considering a new bike I traded in the heavily modded FLHRC and purchased the new silver and orange CVO Limited. I still have the CVO Fatbob so I have two now. Shoot  ::)me in the head.

Two months ago I had no intention of being a new motorcycle but the deal is done. I am amazed at how well the bike handles and feels lighter and more nimble than the 09 Road King even though is weighs more.???? It is not nearly as fast as the 103 motor in the old bike but I like the more quiet pipe system. I think I am over the loud pipes on an all day/weekend/touring bike. I'll leave the nasty Fatbob loud as hell.

Question?
Why do I have 3 CVOs???

Answer...
So I have one to ride, while the other 2 are in the shop :nervous:

All kidding aside, Congrats on the new sled!

X2LOL I actually own three Harleys but one is the wife's. Owning two for yourself makes perfect sense. One day we pulled out the bikes for a ride only to find mine had a dead battery. No prob just wheel the other out and take off. :cucumber:

What accounts for the much in proved handling  over the other post 09 frame tourers?

All new suspension. 49mm forks vs. 41mm on pre-14 bikes makes front end more rigid and gives bike a more solid feel. Rear suspension feels improved also.

The demo rides got me..  I rode the Blue CVO and then the limited in that order (first mistake).  I was at another Harley dealer and ran into the Red and was hooked.  Ended up at another demo ride and that ride sold my wife on the CVO.  Yes its a hell of a lot of money for a motorcycle but it sure gets a lot of complements.

So please do tell was the ride much different between the two bikes? Was the motor the only functional difference in the ride. Of course not counting the bling and paint. I have a buddy that rides a limited and he calls it a poor mans CVO.  :D
