Have you tried w/the MoCo - 2009 CVO Softail Springer  (look on the left of that window for Backrests & Racks)?  You might find something (a backrest) that matches the seat and a sissy bar you like. :nixweiss:

It is in the regular 2014 HD parts and accessories Catalog. Chrome Detachable side plates 53810-00B. Low Round Mini Medallion Sissy Bar 52540-09A and Luggage Sports rack 50300066. You'll also need to decide on a pad.

Does anyone know if you need the Signal Relocation kit (53959-06) as well?

I have just purchased a 09 CVO springer and so far have the following parts list:
Side Plates   53810-00b
Pad 51640-06
Sissy Bar 52540-09
Rack   54210-09
Docking kit   53932-03a

You have two options -

1.  Order the relocation kit, which from what I've read doesn't look very good installed.
2.  Take a Dremel with a sanding wheel and grind down the rotary latches on the sissybar side plates.  The part that needs to be ground down is the very small piece that you push in to rotate the lock, and Only a very small portion of it too.

Option 2 is the better route, I believe.  Plus, you have the added benefit that when the sissybar isn't on the bike, there's no relocation mounts to see.

Thanks for the quick replies Redbeard719 and Dlaws01.  :)

Great advice - I think I will order everything except the relocation kit and see how it all fits together 1st.

Easier to order it later if I need it rather than try to return it which is impossible in Aussie.
