Title: 2013 CVO Road Glide Black Motor Question

Do any of you have what looks like a dull film on your Black Motor? On mine the parts that are suppose to be Gloss Black look like they have some sort of film on them, and it won't wash off. Haven't tried using anything on it other than just soap and water while washing it, but was wondering if anyone else has seen this or not?? And if so if they had a fix for it, because I know what the dealer will say, "oh that is normal"

Hog spit is a product made for blackened dull finishes.  I believe S100 has something in line with this product.  Im sure there are
plenty of others that have followed suit.  Oh hog spit comes in a spray and wipe application.

Use Pig Spit.......Don't use waxes as when they got hot and then cool off multiple times it will fog the shine.

I restore old bikes here and there and use gloss powder coat when ever possible where they would have used enamel paint (Except for tanks, side covers, etc)
I use Pig Spit to keep them shiny and they don't fog up unless you don't' take care of it

Is the finish gloss powdercoat or a high temp gloss enamel paint on the 2013 cvo?

I am having the same issue.  Can anyone report that the pig spit worked.  I am willing to buy it and give it a go.

I use it to quick clean a bike all the time....Good Stuff!! :-)

Best guess on the film is it is blow back from the compression releases...

Regular glass cleaner with out ammonia works great been doing for 2 years now and looks like new.

The compression releases exit into the exhaust port.

I polish mine with actual polish for paint, and then wax it.  It is crazy shiny and awesome.  Try some elbow grease with a simple polish, then wax it.
5000 miles, no dull.  No bull.

I do the primary, the horn, the intake,  the whole thing, both sides. 

I powdercoated my inner primary too, and it is awesome, polished, waxed and shiny as can be.  Very nice  :bananarock:
