Lots of ice north of here last night and today. It's rained all day and it's pretty damned chilly. Weatherman is calling for snow tonight or early tomorrow.

And I was supposed to be in northern California tonight. Would have been if not for an equipment failure on the first leg of the flight. Oh, well...

You're exactly right..... Most Okies don't do well on ice & snow.  We usually only have two or three days per year with enough ice &/or snow to be a real problem.

I drive 30 miles each way to my office.  Usually a 30 minute drive each way.  Last night it took me an hour and a half to get home -- just because of folks that don't have a clue how to drive on ice and snow.  When we have this stuff I drive the 4X4 Dodge diesel...... no problems :2vrolijk_21:.  Just have to watch out for everyone else -- have to stay out of their way.

Since we get a lot of snow where I use the track model it is best for our use.  I agree if it were less frequesnt and down to dry pavement a lot it would be best to have the wheels.

I had those conditions this weekend and it takes a lot more  wrestling around.

Well I was giving you guys a lot of chit last week because it was nice here, 50's to upper 60's. I knew I'd pay for it! Five inches of new snow and it's been below 0 last two nights! Going to warm up to upper 20's today. That'll teach me to keep my big mouth shut!  ;D But like they say, if you don't like the weather in Colorado, wait 5 minutes.

The weather services and local news are predicting this to be a very bad winter for the Northwest.

all which got me thinking about this old thread that tracked everyone's trials with snow removal for a couple of winters.

I got tired last year of messing with it so I just picked up the solution, it was delivered Friday afternoon.  So it can snow whenever it wants to this year starting now.

Sunday Night and Monday Mostly cloudy. A chance of snow showers. Lows 19 to 25. Highs 27 to 34.

Awsome and the color too.  Before retireing this year I had to do snow and ice removal for ODOT.  Glad thats water over the bridge.  Know I'll be having a nice warm tottie and wishing all the rest the best.  Enjoy it my friend.
