Where to stop and eat when on the road (biker friendly)
« on: March 18, 2008, 10:02:06 PM »

Maybe this could become it's own topic?

I felt compelled to enlist the help of fellow CVO riders......to name extraordinary or legendary food establishments that are biker friendly.
Places you should stop while in the area (no Nouveau cuisine please)  Places like Pinks In LA  or Gino's or Pat's steaks in Phila.
Places that stood the test of time and most likely still be there for sometime......Good Roadfood!
barbecue?  hot dogs, pizza, steaks, local food,
We all seem to have a destination that has food on the agenda......so lets hear from you!

It's at a Pennsylvania pub that serves the world's biggest burger weighing in at SIX lip-smacking pounds! That's no whopper: you can actually get this meat monster for $23.95, loaded with all the fixins:

Two whole tomatoes
A half-head of lettuce
12 slices of American cheese
A full cup of peppers
Two entire onions
Plus a river of mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard

Denny's Beer Barrel Pub is renowned for its 6 lb. burgers. National
and local newspapers have reviewed the burger and its main appeal seems to be...

NO ONE HAS FINISHED IT!!

If you have never seen it there is a great show that comes on the Food Network called Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives that is always showing some great places to eat. Always thought it would be great to check out some of the places that make the show.

That would be the ultimate "Ride To Eat" road trip. :2vrolijk_21: Only problem would be upon our return we'd have to enroll in Jenny Craig. :huepfenlol2:

Ok, here in Oklahoma on Rt 66 in Stroud, Okla., between OKC & Tulsa, is the Rock Cafe.  They claim to be the "Original Rock Cafe" (even before the famous Hard Rock Cafe).  All the food is great - burgers, chicken fry steak, and great sweet tea.  Shade trees to park the bikes under on the hot summer days.  Just a great place to eat.

There can never be too many threads built around lobster shacks, rib joints, perfect chicken fried steaks, clam shacks, spaghetti sheds, BBQ houses and anyplace else so good you need a bib.
