Newbie to the site sayin' HI!!
« on: January 03, 2007, 12:59:26 PM »

Was recently encouraged to hop on the site and check it out by HogBreath (I even stole his avatar haha!). I'm his not necessarily better half who decorates the back of his bike.

Been lurking for a few days and see quite a friendly group of people with lots to share in both CVO details (his interest) and the rides/camaraderie and pictures (more my thing).

Nice to meet you! I've really been enjoying the site!

JestorDecor,
Welcome to the site, glad you joined us. Now you will understand win Hogbreath spends to much time on here. ;D

Threw me for a loop when I saw the avatar, and had to read your post twice to figure out it was Hogbreath's better half joining. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Three minutes is long enough. $500 per night is $0.35 per minute. $1.05 would be enough.

Well I'm trying to show my compassionate side here. I thought he'd at least spend another $1.05 asking, "Are you dressed yet? Can we leave now? We got to go." [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Plus his better half has only made one post, shouldn't we at least let her make a few more before we show how crude we are. ;D

I need your help Bagger! We each got a $75 gift card to our local Harley dealer for Xmas. I think both should go towards chrome and accessories not shoes or women's wear. What do you think?

I agree 100%.  Besdies, you can get all the biker clothes you need at Rural King for less than half of anything at an HD stealership.  Don't let her bully you into using those gift cards on anything other than than chrome and other accessories for the scoot.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  $150.00 won't go too far at the stealer, but it should get you a few nice things like the chrome accent that goes around the radio and two bottom gauges on the inner fairing, chrome license plate bolts, and maybe a turn signal/brake light conversion kit to really brighten up the rear end...................that is a SAFETY consideration.  She'll appreciate that, since she rides with you.  I know my better half does. Bro,
I'm going to put it to you like this, sometimes it's better to "invest" then spend. This could be one of those times. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] Remember you've got a brand new scooter, just joined the site. There is going to be plenty you will see, and want hanging around here. Wouldn't it be nice to say "Honey I think I want to (insert whatever here) to my scooter. Remember how I let you get what you wanted w/those gift certificates we had." ;)

HaHaHa, Biker gear at Rural King? Red Wing work boots and Carhart overalls?

Down Payment on a starter? LOL Well, it's really sad when the starter for this bike cost more than my first car did.

and firedood, I learned a long time ago, forgiveness is sometimes easier than permission.

What's wrong with Red Wing work boots and Carharts?  I wear them all the time.  Must be an Alabama thing.  Seriously, at the Rural King in Clarksville, TN I've seen Interstate jackets, chaps and vests and last year's HD boots..........which are made by Wolverine.  They have some pretty good stuff from Interstate at reasonable prices.
HOWEVER......................Gary has a point!!!  One I hadn't considered.  Might be the ace in the hole later on.  Worth thinking about.

Nothing wrong with Carharts and Red Wings. It's basically all I ever wear. I'm in the construction business. Clarksville Tn Bagger? Clarksville Tn is cloe to me. 1-1/2 hours or so. I go there just to eat lunch sometimes.

I know what you mean dood. But before asking advice on women, I should ask people how many times they've been married? I want to do the opposite of a guy who has been married 6 times.

Ok, the previous comments/suggestions that are coming from me are from a person that has only been married once. I tell all my friends I love my wife to death, but she just will not die. (joking) [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Nothing wrong with Carharts and Red Wings. It's basically all I ever wear. I'm in the construction business. [highlight]Clarksville Tn Bagger?[/highlight] Clarksville Tn is cloe to me. 1-1/2 hours or so. I go there just to eat lunch sometimes.

I know what you mean dood. But before asking advice on women, I should ask people how many times they've been married? I want to do the opposite of a guy who has been married 6 times.

Renea and I have our permanent home there.  We own another home just north of Huntsville, AL (Meridianville).  I'm more professionally marketable in Huntsville than Clarksville.  We do go home alot though.  It's a little over a two hour ride from Meridianville.  We need to link up and cruise.  I may head up there this weekend for the Polar Bear ride at Appleton's HD.

I'd love to hook up some time. This weekend I'm heading South to Memphis then on to Acapulco. I'm flying of course. I thought about renting two wheels while i'm there, but, I don't want to chance having a wreck and ending up in a Mexican jail!

WOW....thanks to you all for such a warm welcome!

Someone tell that HogBreath person that forgiveness MAY be easier than permission but not if the person he's seeking this forgiveness from hasn't gone and spent a bundle on her OWN SEUC and headed north, east, south or west. haha (d00d is right, it CAN be mucho costlier!)

I've heard about Rural King having HD gear but didn't see any when we were there the other day *makes a note to head back soon*

As for chrome/chrome points...my sig ain't "I like shiny stuff" for no reason  ;)

And red wing boots/carharts are damn sexy!!!

Bagger, let us know about a trip to Clarksville! Always up to meet fun people to ride with.

Many smiles and grins to see such a fun group!! (don't believe anything Hogbreath says about me unless its really nice and sweet lol)

Bro,
I'm going to put it to you like this, sometimes it's better to "invest" then spend.

[smiley=ROFLOL.gif] Dr. Phil, I mean Dr. Gary has spoken the truth here huh?
[smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] Welcome to the site, you'll have fun, and spend more than you ever planned.

Suprise no one has done this  [smiley=worthless.gif] Lets se em. Take care and lots of reading here. Most of the time you need your waders. ;D
