New to the Site, but not a CVO Owner
« on: February 12, 2007, 04:13:56 PM »

I own a 2005 FLHRSI, was looking for something on the web and came across you site. After looking around for a few days I though I'd join even though I don't have a CVO. I live in Loveland Colorado, have a great bunch of friends I ride with. We usually take several trips each sumer. Although the motors are a little different theres a lot of good info on your site I can use, that's why I joined. I'm just starting to upgrade my bike and found a lot of good info on your site. Hope you don't mind my lowly Road King, I really enjoy it! I'd like to get it to about 100 hp and about 100 ft.lb of torque, and keep it dependable, while also dressing it out a little.

Hey Twincam, probably CSU, in Fort Collins? Thats the next town north, about six miles away. Looks like I already screwed up, I wasn't sure what the options were, didn't intend on putting the poll on my post!  :confused5:

Welcome Talon! I'm in Colorado Springs. I was up in your neck of the woods last year for a rally & riding. This bunch here will give you lots of ideas on how to spend your money. After all, bling is bling right?  8) :2vrolijk_21:

Talon,
Welcome to the site, glad to have you join us. :2vrolijk_21: BTW - We can help you spend money on your bike even though you don't own a CVO. Chrome is chrome, and go fast mods are go fast mods doesn't matter what kind of bike they go on. ;D

In regards to the poll if you don't want it you should be able to go back into edit poll delete everything you've put in there and hit save and it should be gone. If that doesn't work, and you need any help getting rid of it let me know.

Talon, welcome to the site!  A very good friend of mine rides a black RK Custome just like yours.  Those bikes are SWEET!  No need to feel like a second class citizen around here with a scoot like that!  We're glad you found us and that the info. here has been useful to you!  Grab another cold one and keep reading! :drink:

Welcome aboard Talon (cool name!)  I live in Texas but have several friends in Colorado and have ridden there many times.  Actually, I was stationed in Colorado Springs in the USAF a few eons ago.
And I agree with you. You don't have to be a CVO owner to get some great information off this site that applies to Hardley's of all ilks.
The price of admission is you gotta contribute too.  We want to hear your stories and questions so we can learn a thing or two from you experience.

Hi Talon and welcome to the  CVO Forum from the UK.

I'm sure you'll get plenty of ideas for dressing your scoot up a little on here  ::)

Nice looking ride you have there.

Twincam, you really live south!! Get a lot of riding in? Usually we get a lot of good weather here in the winter, but this years been a mess. I still have 4' snow drifts out front from the week before Christmas!!  :-\ Only been out once since before Christmas.

yea, usually pretty much 365 days a year we can ride, I am 45 miles from Mexico.  we got a little snow last month but now its back to normal short sleeve weather. the only time it rains here is in monsoon season, and that is only in the afternoons for a few hours!!!
