One of Buffalo, NY's favorite sons and leading ambassadors.  He was always proud of his roots.  I watched his son Luke interviewed by Matt Lauer this morning and his composure was amazing.  I was so impressed by him.  I know his father would have been proud.  There is a park here named after him and they had a candle light vigil in his honor last night.  My daughter asked me this morning who will replace him.  I told her it will take a LONG time to replace him.  He will be a very tough act to follow.  God bless his family.

I have listened to Luke Russert on XM 144 - one of the early morning sports talk shows, for quite some time now.   I did not make the connection between Luke and his father Tim until a few months ago.   I think the show is a simulcast of an ESPN radio sports talk show.  This morning while driving to work they replayed some of the Matt Lauer interview with Luke.  I too was amazed at his composure.

I was shocked to hear the news too. He will definitely be missed and no one will ever be able to replace him.

Definitely a tragic loss of a very intelligent man with high morals and standards. I will sorely miss his forums and reports.
