KTVI - myFOXstl.com)  --  A firefighter has died following this morning's shootings in Maplewood. Sources say two police officers were also shot but will pull through. Firefighters and police came under fire Monday morning. Police have not confirmed any injuries. This started at 5:45 a.m. in Maplewood in the 2400 block of Big Bend. Multiple police agencies are on the scene and several tactical units. Some residents were evacuated.

This is a horrible tragedy.

It's rare that firemen get attacked... you can kind of understand why it happens to cops... very unfair for someone trying to protect you from a fire.

My condolences to the families.

He shot and killed a Firefighter off the first  truck on the scene.   A 10 month rookie (22 years old) and then proceeded to shoot and injure 2 police officers.... he is still held up in the house.


Looks like the shooters house burned down, with him in it. Hopefully he burned to death and didn't take the easy way out.
