Michigan revokes a personalized motorcycle plate
« on: December 11, 2009, 11:52:29 AM »

This happened in Muskegon, MI where I live. A rider had his personalized plated recalled from the S.O.S. for being racist.

Please read both articles.  Like most news they don't always get the whole story! I know that there are two sides to every story but the rider did not get the chance to comment about his plate and explain how he came about it. I found the answer in the second article. I can see how it could be taken the wrong way but I can also see what he said as to why he did it.

By the way this made front page of our new paper "The Muskegon Chronicle" 12-10-2009

Reporter's "spin" not owner's intent are irrelevant in such cases.  The plate stands or fails on its own.  Hard to believe the state ever issued that one in the first place.

I hear you on that one too. As I can't belive they issued it either, but they did and now it is a big deal 7 years after it was issued.
I can see how it could be taken the wrong way but to make front page in the news paper.  Well, this is just lame there are more inmportant things to report on.
