FORT ROSS -- A Canadian man, who crawled up a ravine after he crashed his motorcycle just north of Fort Ross near Timber Cove on Tuesday afternoon, suffered serious injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol. Nathan Rebkowich, 44, of Alberta, Canada was riding his 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle on state Highway 1 with his wife and several others when he ran off the road, struck an embankment and was thrown down the hillside around 12:30 p.m., CHP Officer Jonathan Sloat said.
Because Rebkowich was out of sight and ahead of the other riders, they continued south toward Sebastopol and did not realize he had crashed, Sloat said. His motorcycle landed in a creek at the bottom of the ravine, he said.
Rebkowich was able to climb back to the road, where he flagged down a passing motorist, who drove him to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. His wife called the CHP Wednesday morning to report the crash. Rebkowich suffered a broken back, broken ribs and collapsed lung. The cause of the accident is under investigation, Sloat said.

Same thing happened at almost this exact same spot last year, but the rider died as I recall.
