No, I've not been around the HD market like some of you other people, but I have been involved on both sides of the desk in customer service in an automotive dealership. I can say without a doubt that my dealership, Doc's HD of Kirkwood MO 314-965-0166 sales Rick Blanner, is one of the best in the area for actual mechanical service work. As far as purchasing experience, they are rated as the NUMBER ONE in the nation for purchase experience. Patty Bush owns the dealership and took it over from her brother who had to retire for medical reasons.
Patty has been in customer service all her life and her HD dealership family has the same customer values. I know its an old cliche, but treat people like you would like to be treated is the number one rule at Doc's.
When my bike had been delayed several times, the sales manager and owner agreed to try and dealer trade to get me riding faster. This was not by my suggestion, but by their offer. At that point the '08 SERK Annie's were in high demand. They traded a frost white and silver '08 SEUC, which was even in higher demand, for my current ride. That's going out of the way to get and keep a new customer.
Again, I'm going on and on about this place, but I appreciate a great place when I come across one.
No doubt there are other great dealerships around, but I'll go back and I'll recommend them to anyone looking.
They promote the hell out of the Biker's for Babies as well as lots of other non profit organizations. Like Backstoppers, which is an organization for the families of fallen police and firemen in the greater St. Louis area. They raise money and have big parties and the money goes to worthy groups. The Doc's Hog chapter is very well organized and does lots of civic project throughout the year.
Just about every other weekend there's something going on at Doc's. Don't get me wrong, they do LOTS of self promotion for business with free hotdogs etc just like others, but you do feel good about supporting them as they support you when you need it.
So other than falling all over myself giving my dealership props, that's about all I have to say.
Sorry for the unsolicited plug for Doc's above.
These are the people that got my rear wheel chrome chipping problem taken care and the flaking powder coating on the inner primary. All this was done with nothing more on my part to point it out to them. They got HD to cover it and that was that.
