Been in the desert between Las Vegas and home (near Mojave) with temps above 115 on many occasion's and it is not that bad. Lots of water is needed.
Marty (110MoFo) and I were talking about this on Monday, no matter where I go I have to be in the desert to get home. And no, the bike does not like it.

I have ridden to work the last couple days... nice in the morning.... like riding in an oven on the way home.... but I was riding so I'll take it. Only concern would be if you got stuck in traffic and had the bike idle long periods of time. As long as your moving you and the bike should be alright.... maybe a little uncomfortable but alright. As was mentioned in an earlier post, hydrate, hydrate, and hydrate (with water).

When is it to hot to ride you ask? Well, when it is so hot that the "Dry Heat" burns your fingernails so bad that all you can do is stop at the first bar you come to (Even if it is skeery lookin) and sit there drinking till the sun goes down so that you can get to the nearest WalMart and buy gloves so you can continue your ride and make some of the time up which now ain't so bad 'cause now your pretty liquored up and it ain't such a bad ride after all! 120+F  8)

It's too hot to ride when your bike won't roll because either yer tires or yer boots are melted to the asphalt.

"It's too hot to ride" when the rattlesnakes are curled up in the shade under your bike, and they won't let you near it!

When you come out from a nice lunch and your kickstand has sunk an inch or so into the asphalt, it may be too hot.

I was cutting it off at 105F, which means an on-highway temperature of about 120F, but recently bought a Harley evaporation/cooling vest, and can survive up to 110F...yeah, it's a dry heat out here........

105 is about the limit before I go into "tough guy mode"... That consists of stopping every 30 minutes to fill your helmet with water, hook up a garden hose and spray your T-shirt and jeans, then go another 30 minutes, LOL...

I don't much care how hot it is, if I can ride I ride, my wife gives me grief because I wait till the hottest part of the day to cut my grass, the heat does not bother me much. Drink a lot of H20.

Dry heat is a lot different than humid and hot. Can handle higher temps when the humidity is low. Highest I ever rode in was when air temp gauge said 120 on the road, but would not knowing do that again, especially with the heat thrown off by the 110 engine, which is worse than the 2005 SEEG 103 I traded to get the 110. :-\

Dry heat/wet heat when it hits triple digits ambient temp it's HOT.

105 is about the limit before I go into "tough guy mode"... That consists of stopping every 30 minutes to fill your helmet with water, hook up a garden hose and spray your T-shirt and jeans, then go another 30 minutes, LOL...
