2015 Victory Magnum
« on: July 28, 2014, 02:09:17 PM »

So it looks like Victory is actually listening to their customers. This new bike has a stock 21" front wheel, slammed suspension, upgraded audio, custom paint, ape hanger option, custom floorboards, paint, etc. I am not by any means a victory fan but I have to admit it's pretty cool they are hearing what people want and delivering.

Jesse, wonder what Polaris call that?  The MoCo had to come up with a slogan to start listening? to their customers.  Bet Polaris calls it "Normal Operating Procedure".

It is a good looking bike

That's a sharp looking machine.  I was just doing some number's crunching on tricking out the bike and I could easily trade mine in and be money ahead.  With all the issues HD is having with premature launching, (heh, made myself laugh there) and not having the glitches worked out, it looks like Victory is really going to lay the pressure on.  And seeing how the the comparable model would be maybe 2-3 grand more after matching up-grades to the Victory, it's definetely foood for thought.  The only draw back is the accessories.  I would really like a detachable tour pack and all you get are those funky bags that sit on top of the saddle bags.....no bueno.  But the more I see, the more I like.  anybody have any experiences with Victorys out there?

OMG, Jesse's going Victory!
I bet he doesn't realize most Victory owners wear helmets, full face helmets, with a dark face shield.
Must be a reason.
The world is a crazy place.

With the lowered suspension it looks like you better be VERRRY careful when taking corners. not much clearance at all for those footboard brackets..

I'll give it one thing... it's more pleasing to the eye then the Indian Roadmaster pictures that were posted today. :nixweiss:

To each his own, but I never cared for Victory's look then or now.

Finally followed the link. I like the fact that they're listening to their customer but with that funny looking engine and fairing, I don't see a lot of migration from the HD crowd. Front wheel looks good with that wrapped fender, just can't look and further behind it on the bike without throwing up in my mouth. Slammed rear end? Aren't the SG and RGC both 1" lower than the Ultra versions of their models? Last but not least, they don't have it in BLUE but that still wouldn't sway me to add it as a 2nd bike.

You have to give credit to victory, for at least doing the things that HD buyers have been wanting and upgrading their bikes to after they buy one.

The Cartridge front and gas charged shock system is worth what we spend in upgrades. A 21" front and wrapped fender, stock? Thats far from HD's tired old fender.

I still love my CVO's, but Polaris is doing what HD should have done, or try to start doing years ago.

My only point was that they are listening to their customers. The bike is a street glide rip off and it's ugly at that. But, they are heading in the right direction imo. Harley better wake up they are losing ground every day.

Glad they are listening to "THEIR" customers as well. Design team...you're F'n fired!!! There was a time I was looking forward to riding a Victory and seeing where there were heading. Guess I'm just too stuck in the mud to appreciate Victory and Polaris products (Razor accepted). Back end looks as bad as the Stratoliner bug look. If they got rid of the sharp edges on the fairing that might bring about a better look. Just wish I wasn't so stuck on the Streetglide look..but I am. Guess if I get an additional bike it'll be a Shark. Getting into to the look of those this past year. Find an 09 and up as cheap as I can and then rip her heart out for a full build. Oops, side tracked again. Out

I saw one last weekend in person and in IHMO, they are even uglier than in the pics. I get they might be great bikes but I don't just mean ugly, I mean really really ugly!
