Title: My 2019 is gone...now what
Post by: tlr on October 05, 2021, 12:54:34 PM
With the market being crazy, I decided to sell my 2019 Red Pepper to a great guy. So the itch begins on what to get next. It seems like the 22's wont be announced to early next year, hopefully January. Really hoping that we have a RG CVO with some nice paint to choose from. Any insight to when or what?

2022's should be announced in February like the 2021's were.  21 Had a couple real nice paint jobs on the Road Glides.  Good look fining one, but love that sunset one

The frustration is already settling in. I am pretty sure I can get one, the issue is the wait and hoping that there is one that I really like. Or I can try and get a '21 but not sure I love all the chrome at this point. The blacked out grew on me with the Red Pepper and it is so much easier to clean.

According to my local dealership they will be out in January, but no word on anything else yet.  My 16 had chrome, my 20 has the black trim and Im waiting to see what the 22's look like because I miss the chrome.

It looks like you have other bikes in your stable so I would definitely wait a few months to see what's what. Could be some big changes coming.  :nixweiss:

I love the black, my current 19 Has the black fork legs and all blacked out.  Issue with its is after several thousand miles it looks like chit.  First front end was replaced by factory at 21K miles as it was pitted horribly.  Bike has 53K on it now, so 32 K on new front and its pitted everywhere and looks like ass again.  At least with chrome its not so obvious all the little stone chips and such.  It looks good after 45K miles or more.

Actually all are gone. over the years I have only had one at a time. One of the advantages of living in Florida is year round riding. Now I don't have anything to ride, hence my frustration. I was looking at the '21 CVO RG in Orange/Black but as others have stated possibly some good changes on the '22. Waiting is the tough part now.

That's disappointing for sure. I put xpel (paint film protection) on various painted parts on my. Not on the fork however. I may do that when I get the new one. The benefit of course is that the fairing and front fender look perfect.

I feel like I am in the same boat. Do I try to make a deal on a sunset fade/black road glide now, or wait till 22's are announced.
What are possibly the changes? Bigger motor maybe, but if the frame, suspension, or electronics has changes that would be huge.

Not sure if the local dealers with the cvo road glide are msrp dealing right with now with the low inventory.

I have a 2013 cvo ultra now, but always wanted a road glide ever since the 09 orange/black.

I would be only interested in the sunset orange fade & sunset black this year. PM if you dealer has one in the southeast

I agree that if there are any significant changes and I didn't wait for a 22 I would be seriously bummed. However, with HD's current financial dilemmas and their rate of change I don't think big changes are coming, but then again I know absolutely nothing.

Rockstar HD has one on the floor. They are in Fort Myers, FL. I went on the other day and they are asking $60k. After I laughed they said, well that's a starting price. I refuse to pay over MSRP for anything.

I listed mine on cycletrader.com and chopper exchange. It sold in 48 hours and I had a lot of calls and offers.  As for value, I really am not sure. I have seen that bike listed from 35k-42k. depends on options and how many are out there for sale, as well as other factors.  Good luck
