yesterdaymywifepicked outand bought us the 2013 110 AnniversaryCVO Road Glide #486 of 550. However when I waslooking stuff up about it last night I saw several postswhere peoplebought #--- of 900. Then I looked atHD CVO bookand it says900 were produced. So my question is did theymake 5 550 or 900. If theymade 900 then how many bikes were shipped with error 550 badgesand moreimportantly whatis the MoCo going to do to compensate buyerswho believed theybought 1 of550 when thereare really 900 outthere (false advertising). Either wayI'm not letting them change thebadge but wanted to see if my question hasbeen answered

Congrats on the new CVO Gatorlaw! More pics would be nice.
There are several other posts going on this but in a nutshell, there are bikes with both out there and they are now back on track for 900. It seems that the 550 badges were a vendor screw up. There are probably lass than 100 with the 550 badge. Now your big question, keep the 550 or change it over to 900 if they offer?

Welcome from Stockbridge, GA!! Keep the 486 of 550 badge. Like misprinted money, it's more rare. 8)

I thought they CUT production from 900 down to 550....so the outa 900 badges would be the rare ones now.....wasn't it said that the dealers were to swap out the 900 badges for 550s at the next service?

Welcome to the site, Gator. Probably won't make any value difference, but I would keep whichever one was the no longer valid. Would not let the MoCo change it out at service.

They are not touching that badge. Right or wrong that is how is was delivered

Welcome to the site from Louisiana! I would contact the dealer and see what they say. Would like to know myself. I would keep the misprint if there is one :o

I'm right there with you. How it was made is how it was supposed to be. :2vrolijk_21:
There are badges out there now with numbers over 550 of 900 so the original count is back on track. My guess, and is strictly that is that they will send letters to the 550 owners and have it handled like a voluntary recall.
-
They are planning 900 of them, I have seen 575 of 900 here in TN.

Congrats on the bike and welcome to the site from East Tennessee. There was a thread last week on one of our members getting a letter/notice from HD and/or dealer (or something like that) stating they were now only making 550 of the anni RG's and were in the process of changing out the old badges (900) with the one you have now. I believe this is the link: http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=81724.30
Anyway, enjoy the site, that new SERG and keep it between the ditches... :bananarock:

Actually, I think it's just the opposite. From that same thread ...
Well Guys I have some good info on the badge. I just got off the phone with District Manager of Field Operation from HD, apparently at york facility their was a misprint on a batch of bike badges that were sent out on some of the bikes. They will be correcting this problem, you will need to notify your dealer and they will replace the 550 badge with 900 but they will need misprint badges to give you the correct one.

No clear answer. Hopefully I'll get one from MoCo HQ today...

If it were mine I would want the correct badge. In a few years from now and someone wants to buy it, he's going to say I don't even think this is a cvo Road Glide, They made 900 that year and the badge on this one says: ### of 550. Then you tell them it's a misprint, now you can't even convince him what the correct prodution number is ? If your badge doesn't have the correct amount of bikes made, how are you going to convince him that it's #1 or number #350. And I just because there is a wrong part on your bike is not going to make it more valuable.

Ultimately it probably won't make any difference and who knows if the MoCo will even replace the 550 badges. All the bikes will be numbered from 1 to 900 and in ten years someone will say "oh, I see you have one of the 550 emblems on your bike". I doubt if it will change the value and it will just be more of a conversation piece.
My wife has a 93 Moo-Glide that has an engraved plate that list "xxxx of 2700". Early on whenever one owner would see another they would always compare numbers but now 20 years later most people don't even know what it is - or care. Funny how time works.

I have 481/550, I talked to the harley motor company & they told me that ther was such a demand for that bike that they made 350 more, they had a program out to get your badge changed, but that program ran out in March 2014, the 550 badge loos much better than the 900
