Hey All,

I just installed a Color Matched Spoiler on the Chopped Tour-pak of my FLTRSE3. I know there is a way to wire the LED in the bottom of the spoiler so it will perform as a running light / brake light like the O.E.M. taillights on my bike. Does any one know how to do this?

I know mine runs as a running light and think it also gets brighter for brake light.

The led light for the spoiler comes with a plug.  Follow the instructions for an 09 and on were to put the wire pins in the plug.  Then under the front of the seat, near the tank is a plug, just plug them together.

Hey Dave,

I believe it is set up from the factory as just a run light. I recall apost here on the blog about someone having done the mod to make it function as both. I haven't read the instructions yet, (last resort) so you may be right. If you get a chance, maybe you could have someone pull the brake lever on your's while you check to see if it functions as both. Thanks for the input.

There should be three wires, black, blue and red coming from the spoiler.
Black = ground
Blue = Running
Red = Brake

There is a 4 position plug under the seat to tap into. Three wires as above and the forth is an Orange wire that is controlled from the acc switch on the fairing.

Yep, I'm a moron.  I finally broke down and read the instructions. It is wired as a run / brake light just as a few of you had said. I'm going to run a fourth wire from the Orange one in the plug under the seat back to the Tour-pak for a switched light inside. Thanks for the info guys.

Glad you got it figured out.  I thought it was, but could not totally remember, and I am off shore right now in the gulf of Mexico
