What to do with a hole?
« on: January 11, 2014, 06:38:26 PM »

Hey guy's, I want to remove the tour pack rack. What I will end up with is 4 holes. Is there anything that you guy's use to decoratively or stealthy plug up or cove them? Maybe some kind of small, flush plastic plug? Or a flush nut and bolt? Any suggestion?  Cheers.

I had used these chrome strips, but gave them away when I made my whole pak detachable. I can't remember part number though...

hey good idea. I want to have the rack off and put on the rear tour pack poiler only. Have the light come on with the brake light.  So I am not sure these strips will clear the wing. Maybe if I move them up a bit.

You could place a small bolt in the hole and put a chrome hot topper on the bolt head.

I have had this on the shelf for years, never used it.  Thought about it for my 2004 SEEG tourpac but never did it.  I think the screws line up with the holes for the rack.

It is HD p/n 53936-03

PM if Interested

Hey that's a nice looking part. I will measure the space between the holes this Tuesday and get back to you for sure.

The bolts with toppers is a great ides as well. can use black topper, will make them invisible. Cheers. and thanx for all the ideas.
