Title: Bullet Rear Signal Lens - No slot for removal
Post by: GregMan241 on November 07, 2023, 10:53:45 AM
Hi guys,

I have a 2006 flstfse2 and need to replace rear turn bulb......

The smoked lens cover (unlike the one on the front) does not have a slot to insert a screw driver to remove.

It spins with effort but does not unthread.

Any thoughts?  Don't want to turn this small job into a repair lol!

Thanks and cheers,

Greg.

It's a tension fit.  Just be brave and pop it off.

LOL..... thanks for confirming it wasn't some other form of fastening.....

I got it off.... used a small putty knife with a very fine metal blade, was able to carefully insert and pry and didn't f things up....

thanks again and cheers,

Greg.

Greg,

Just in case you did not know, the "slot" in the front signals is also to allow water / condensation to drain so make sure it is pointed down.  :2vrolijk_21:
