Just joined the site but I have been lurking for a few days.
Picked up some good info from the posts I have read.
I bought my SE "copper top" in December at a dealership in New Hampshire and finally got to ride it the other day when it warmed up some and the roads were pretty dry, love the bike so far.
Did a fluid change to get rid of what ever contaminents might of been picked up from the 100 mile ride, the oils didnt look very clean for only having 100 miles on them
Put Mobil synthetic 75-90 gear oil in the tranny and HD synthetic back in the engine and primary for now.
Added the SE AC backing plate and cleaner with the stock cover. The box had old instructions in it that didnt mention anyhing about removing the TB bracket but I figured it out and confirmed with the dealer parts guy.
Looking at getting a PC tuner and Rinehart pipes like I have on my 03 Fatboy
Cant beat the sound of the Rineharts
A few chrome goodies here and there to be added on this winter and then I just need some warm sunny days.
I bought my Fatboy new and haven't had any issues with it, knock on wood. It's a great cruising bike that I'll be keeping for a while
Bought the Ultra to hopefully do some longer weekend rides with the wife and friends.
Hopefully I'll have some pictures up some time soon.
