Title: Ordered some slip-ons
Post by: G_Fend on March 28, 2013, 10:06:21 AM
Couldn't stand the wait any longer, so I broke down and ordered some V/H slip-ons off of eBay this morning.  Hopefully that'll tide me over until Rinehart gets on the ball and develops the Crossbacks for the Breakout.

I'll update once I get them put on!

I called Rinehart yesterday and I talked with the guy for like 20 minutes.  the ONLY problem with the Crossbacks and the 2 into 2s is that they hit the last oil line.  That is the only problem and he thinks it will be addressed in a couple of weeks.

I think you will be happy with the sound of the slip ons- I know I was, even though mine were Rush slip ons.  Prefer the look of other exhausts, but don't want to spend the $ right now.

I figure I could run them for a little while until Rinehart gets on the ball, and then I could re-sell my slip-ons at a bit of a loss (the cost of happiness for a little while).

I'm getting sick of having no options for this thing.  I may just order slip-ons until something really good comes out.

That's what I finally decided.  Getting closer and closer to having reliable riding conditions here in VA, and I wanted to at least have something!

He G,

wish you would have pinged me!  My VH slip-ons are just siting in the box in my garage with about 400 miles on them....I would have let them go CHEAP to a CVOharley.com brother  ;D

I should've!!  I have an itchy mouse finger and clicked BUY on eBay from LA Motorcycle.  Still got them about $60 buck off of list price.

Maybe Nicky will take them off your hands!!

I like the Bassani Firepower Series Slip-On 12117N             http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/413/13225/Motorcycle-Article/Bassani-Firepower-Series-Slip-On-Comparison-Review.aspx

How much?

I'm really debating on just buying the short shots for the CVO Springer/Rocker and getting 02 sensor adapters.

Which Rush slipons did you order?  I didn't see any listed on their website for the Breakout.
