A little help is needed in the decision making process for slipons for the 09 cvo. i have narrowed it down to the above-mentiioned choices. Could people please post any pictures you have with any of the above pipes on their 09 cvo roadglide. the following is just my opinion on the pipes. I am aware of many others, but these are my top choices--so please help if you can with pics.
Thundercones: great sound, not great fit and finish, very good performance pipe--but the diameter is only 1 7/8, so i am concerned they may look funny through the 4 inch opening. But i like and want loud pipes so these are my top choice:
Rinehart--raspy sound, excellence performance pipe, good fit and finish--diameter in still small--but bigger than the thundercones
CFR-loud pipe--unknown performance gains on a flt-- a large 4inch diameter--with a 3 inch tip
RUSH--medium loudness--even the 2.5 baffle i do not consider loud--very good fit and finish--good performance--larger diameter will fit cvo nicely.
Once again--i am aware of many others choices--but i like LOUD pipes...so no disrespect to v&h, fullsac, samson, cycle shack, d&d, khrome werks, klock werks, bub7...and the list goes on..but the above are what i am interested in. THANKs for all your pictures!!!

The Louder the Gooder! :2vrolijk_21: Fulsac is offering a Loud 2.5" core
-
well--that's a picture for sure....just not what i was hoping for........
-
ok--i found one with rineharts....

http://www.fullsac.com/ You cannot beat the good looks of the stock mufflers. The fullsac cores save cash and the fit is perfect. Muffler volume is the key to making usable mid range power. some poor after market choices can make less power.
-
highway--thanks for you pic. still loking for pics of the exhaust mentioned in the thread...if anyone has them please post. Thx
-
Sorry, most are sticking with the originals and just replacing cores. Mine is louder than stock but no where near as loud as my RG with Fullsacs or my Dyna with Rhineharts and I like it that way. Like the stealth fighter. Saved my butt from getting a ticket. I had already slowed down whne the LEO looked up from hearing me. Loud pipes saves live's, quiet pipes save your wallet! Just my 2 sense (s).

From your discription sounds like you like the Rush mufflers the best.
Go with your gut feeling.

the dealer didn't line up the pipes as well as i thought as they should be so its going to get an adjustment...
you can see the left pipe is way to close to the bag... the tips look nice...
-
could be a little bigger in diameter... but.... :beatdeadhorse:

the dealer said they did the Rienhart slip-ons, air cleaner and download... i'm waiting for a call as to what exactly they used... seems not everyone is sure about what they did... :nervous:
-
please try to get the down load number...would be curious to know. thanks for the pix.
