Starter Issues Question.
« on: July 17, 2009, 04:13:34 PM »

A friend of mine has a 2009 SERG Silver and Black, he has been having Starter trouble.  It has a difficultime engaging and cranking.  He claims the shop is ordering a better starter as a warranty item.  Any other starter issues out there?  Thanks.

PS Mine has been fine ...so far!

Some guys have had their ACR's (Auto Compression Release) not turned on.  That would lead to difficult cranking.

I had a bad starter clutch.  Lead to no engagement....   :nixweiss:

When they installed my race tuner the dealer turned off my ACR. The starter is shot. New one on Wednesday.

I would also like to know. The dealer turned mine on after the first dealer shut it off.

Hoped you upgraded to a chrome starter... been hoping mine would go bad under warranty so I could pay the difference and go chrome. :)
