Kimber for a long time was my choice for a 1911.  Very well made guns.  I have had several.  I still have my Ultra CDP.  Its the 3" barrel.  Only kimber I have had that was not reliable out of the box.  Mainly due to 3 inch barrel, as 1911 was designed with a 5" barrel so feed issues was my problem.  After 700 rounds and some feed ramp clean up I got it to be 100% reliable.  I most often carry the Kimber Ultra CDP.

There are nicer custom guns, but a whole lot more than Kimber.  Love my Ed Browns and Les Baer.

Thanks Dave,
I had looked at one of the 3" barreled Ultra Carrys. I have an XDS 45 3" that I carry now but was wanting to get back to the 1911 platform and the 4" barrel package. Carried a Springfield A-1 Champion for a long time and put lots of rounds through it. The Pro Carry looks a feels very much like my old Springfield did and that is kind of what drew my attention to it

Dave, I have one of the Kimber Ultra Carry II. TLE.  As well as 2 other Kimbers an Original Kimber from the original company which was one of the first ones they released, as well as one from the Custom Shop.

Wouldn’t hesitate to buy another.   Was hoping my local dealer would bring in another full size TLE in 45.

Ordered a Milt Sparks waist concealed holster for it.

The UC2 TLE Shoots great

My favorites though are the H&K Squeeze Cockers   P7M8 and P7M13.

Not carrying but I have a Ultra Covert II. Nicely finished, very accurate out of the box, very impressed right up until I tried to take it apart without reading the instructions - who needs instructions for a 1911  :nixweiss:

I really like the Milt Sparks holsters for my 1911's.  I use his VM2 for for IWB carry.  Also have one for my Sig P938.

Don't see a lot of blood.  Wonder if the guy was wearing body armor?  Even if he was he didn't show much kinetic reaction; especially for such short range.

Can have many factors involved, shot placement is most important. Things like drugs, adrenaline etc.can slow down reactions too.

Nice collection Harry. The squeeze cock HK's have gotten scarce. I still love my USP and USP Compact.  Those are 2 guns that will probably never leave my possession
