The information in that map is what originated this thread. If you look at Georgia, it appears as there are a lot of people that don't want me carrying in their state.

Is it something we did?

:indian_chief:

I don't know what happened with Georgians, I find them most accommodating.  When I have to drive through the nonreciprocal state I would remove the weapon from my person and store it unloaded and locked in a secure box in the vehicle.

I do know you don't want to be too many places down here without one or even two!

either a Glock 22, or a titanium Smith and Wesson 38 special, snub nose on the ankle, I'm a former LEO but still in the reserves, so I can carry across the states.

P.S. The old military rule applies.  Never draw your weapon unless you intend to fire.  Never fire your weapon unless you intend to kill.

Exactly!

Don't Shoot me or I'll Call somebody  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

No, no, no. It goes like this.

"Don't shoot, or I'll take a video of you with my phone camera, and send the clip along with a text message directly to You-Tube".

An old timer I worked with used to say:

"Never draw in anger, never holster in fear"

I always got a kick out of that one.

This may be easier to mount, certainly cheaper to shoot and bet the message would get across.

An interesting topic.

i have thought about this quite a bit lately because i may be motocycling camping with my son for a week or two and feel like i should have something for an emergency.  I like the snubnose S&W 38 hammerless due to its size.  Curious what other ones you would recommend for this type of application.

how would that compare with a S&W 38. Bigger slug but heavier? which would be easier to shoot?
