Honda Goes To Heaven
« on: January 22, 2006, 04:34:06 PM »

The passing of Honda founder, Soichiro Honda, was a great loss to all Japanese as well as the car and motorcycle communities. It was with little surprise that Soichiro quickly ascended into heaven where he was promptly met at the gates by St. Peter. St. Peter commended Soichiro for his life accomplishments, his character and faith. St. Peter then directed Soichiro to his new home in heaven. Soichiro was pleased. He found himself in a beautiful neighborhood, was taken to a modest ranch style home and when he inspected the double attached garage, he was excited to see that it came with a brand new Honda Accord plus a very economical Honda moped. Needless to say, Soichiro was truly grateful. After settling in, Soichiro surveyed the neighborhood. He was pleased to see homes of an equivalent size and style. It was also very quiet which brought a very conservative Soichiro peace of mind.
Later that night Soichiro was awakened by the rumbling sound of a very loud combustion engine and people laughing. He finally got up and looked out the window. He saw nothing but the noise continued. Being a curious man, Soichiro walked outside and determined the noise to be coming from a very large house on the corner about a block away. Soichiro walked down to the corner and observed from across the street. He saw a huge multi story house with at least a five car garage. The garage was full of shinny chromed Harley Davidson motorcycles - all rumbling loudly. There was a crowd of people around the motorcycles and they appeared to be having a party. Beautiful women were everywhere. Well Soichiro was fuming. He walked back home and quickly got St. Peter on the phone. Soichiro explained the situation to St. Peter and complained that he didn't feel he'd been granted fare and equal treatment in heaven. After all, he was the father of Honda. Who, Soichiro asked could have contributed more to be awarded such lavish surroundings, lots of friends and most of all, a garage full of Harleys? St. Peter replied "well Soichiro, that's God's house". ;D
