Wiz,

What are you getting tired of not being able to keep up with Mrs. Wiz on her ConV?  :nixweiss:

She can't out run me from 0 to 80, after that she has to catch up to pass me.  :bananarock:

No, I'm just really wanting to know how many are actually out there right now and how many are on order but haven't arrived yet.

I have been told my Scarlet will be built in February and delivered in March (HDI Europe spec) for the UK.

Saw the maple one today at Dothan HD in AL. It was sitting beside the 2010 Inferno Orange one. The 2010 looked more unique than the 2011. There are around ten different thinks to compare between the two. The biggest difference is the Z style handlebars. Don't know if they look better or not...hard to decide.

Hey Wiz. Happnin just posted a question about his MP3 player not working on a 2011. He shows a picture of it in his post.

Received my Scarlet 2011 Softail from Yellowstone H-D in Belgrade MT Oct 6. I put her in the trailer and brought her home Billings and then went on a photo tour of Yellowstone and the Tetons without her. Took her for a spin yesterday and now have 99 miles on it!

I inquired of a dealership in Washington state and they said they do not charge separately for shipping and dealerprep.  They just charge MSRP plus the freight and dealerprep and "call it one price", the asking price.  Now, to be more specific, when people on the forum here say they pay only MSRP (We all know that price is $29,599 per harley) do they mean that is the total price they are paying??

I have mine but I didn't order it, I was looking at a left over 2010 and then decided I wasn't gonna play the already lost value game while walking out the door with a left over. This one came in and no one had claim to it, so.......... I didn't like the Scarlett Red which was my color of choice. The more I looked at this Maple Metallic bike the more I liked it.

Well, let's just say that about 5 this afternoon, a trailor is expected to unload a new family member inside my garage and take away an "older" family member.   The expected family member is the color associated with the movie "Gone with the Wind".............yeah, let's just say that........

Yes, sir, the "chicken is" indeed "in the pot".  Delivered it last night and it is beautiful as well as "far out" to quote John Denver.  It is definitely like sitting in the cockpit of a jet.  More stuff happening at the business end of the bike than ever before with the CC, stereo system, tripmeter toggle system that doesn't require one to take one's left hand off the bar, and the first Harley ever to not have an ignition switch on the dashboard.  And to finally get to lock up the larger than life saddlebags......Can hardley wait to get it out on the street.  The '10 horse served me well but this one is just clamoring to get out of the barn and run.  And that Scarlet Pearl paint seems an inch thick.  So, now my old one will go to the "gettin' place" for someone else to oogle over and "pull the trigger" on.  In a way, I'm really hoping they don't make another one of these next year.  Can only wonder how it might be radically different.  Maybe heated seats??   Pork.    and it sure looks good under my GF!

I have seen two red ones and one maple one. HD of Atlanta has a red one. They have had it for a month. Looks good, better than the maple one (opinion). Has anyone seen the blue one yet? if so, where? And do you have pics?

Does the CONV not already come with SE muffs?  Is there a better SE muffler to use over what comes stock on these?

Dennis

This question has been pounded on over and over but the stock muffs sound like a Lexus. The 49 State SE Muffs have a little louder sound to them (not much) and they come without the cat material in the inlet neck. But, the stock heat shields will not fit them. The compatible shields are pretty pricey.

The Rush have been used by a few and kept while others take them off as soon as they find something that sounds better. Some of the guys have gone to a thunderheader and others have street sweapers. Guess it's all about how loud you like and what sound you are looking for and if you want to keep the stock look.

When this CVO class first came out there was little to choose from but if you look at the Rush catalog you will see that any muff for a softail besides a Deluxe or CrossBone will work. Then the manufacturer is up to you.

Great information Mr. Wizard, thanks :)
I am planning on staying 'street legal' for California this time around and figured my only option was SE.
So my question is: Knowing that SE is legal, any other brand suggestions that are street legal for CA?

Sorry Sir... the only street legal muffs for your ConV has the cat converter inside the inlet end. Your choices are limited to about none but the 50 state legal SE muff which is just a tick louder than your stock muffs but will get another tick louder with age.

You also must be concerned about keeping the EPA stamp on the bottom of the muff cans. No aftermarket muffs that I know have the stamp. Although I maybe wrong about that. Maybe someone else will chime in with a different story.

In the 2010 I have the orange inferno. The crimson one was the most popular and the blue one was the least. Now I have seen two of the 2011 in person, the red and maple, but the blue one looks pretty awesome! Thanks for the pics!

My two cents of what I like:

2010
1. Orange
2. Crimson
3. Blue

2011
1. Blue
2. Red
3. Maple

One of these days, I'll take some pictures outdoors in the natural light and the colors will even look better with all the metalic paint.  It's even more awesome IMHO.

Picking my blue 2011 FLSTSE2 up tomorrow from Bayside Harley in Portsmouth VA.  This is my first softail.  I just traded in my 2008 Fat Bob for it.  I had a 2003 Dyna Super Glide before that and a 1981 Low Rider before the Super Glide.
