Decision Made-Traded my 2015 SG for a 2017

After considerable thought, I had decided to just add the 2017 and keep my 2015 SG. I had a new Limited coming in so I took my 2015 Limited to the dealership when this arrived. I had a good day to ride this week which is extremely rare in Indiana and rode back to back the 2015 and 2017 SG. After the ride, I thought that with all the improvement's made that my 2015 needed to find a new home. I also had the fan installed to eliminate hear in the Summers. Very pleased with the new Harley's.

Congrats on the new bike! Can you describe the differences between the '15 and the '17? I'm considering a '15 CVO SG but I am hearing rave reviews on the 17's.

Hi PT I would go for the `17 CVO S.G. based on my exp. buying a low miles `15 CVO S.G. w/ 5000 miles and a flaky clutch. Undestandr the 2017 has a new clutch design over the problamatic `13-`16 models w/ A& S clutch design. Just my $ .02 worth.

13 thru 17 have the Same Assist and Slip clutch.  My understanding is the springs are slightly lighter in the 2017 clutch.  The CVO has one more plate then the 107 motor.

The 17 CVO slips at a lower torque than the 13 CVO.  The 17 is my 3rd bike with this clutch.  My 13 has 138 HP and 140 Torque and no slippage but I added heavier springs and a AIM lock up.  No issues with the 15 clutch in 45K miles.  The 17 has had no clutch issues in 15K miles

Sounds a lot better than my bike with erratic clutch enguagement and rattling when shifting. Am not a fan of A&S.
