I don't quite understand what the big secret is?   :-\

The MoCo trys to protect the CVO colors so that others aren't painting their bikes the CVO color schemes.  They've not released any CVO colors at all however, somewhere on here there's a thread with some of the paint codes that members here have had painters match.  Bushtec seems to match them every year with no issues.

All the guys getting the tour packs painted to match, including gold leafing, etc. are also having painters match the codes.  Any good paint shop should be able to match it.

So apparently the codes aren't such a big secret!  Thats ok...I think the tequila will be the last one discovered!   :2vrolijk_21:

I used Gunslinger Custom Paint in Colorado to match my inner fairing--came out perfect. I just sent them a side cover to use to match.

So give it up.......what's the paint code for the big blue? :nixweiss:

I had my inner fairing painted (Jim had it painted) but didn't think to ask Jim to ask the painter what the code was/is. :nervous:

Somebody posted awhile back that the color codes are under the fuel tank, under a piece of tape that's also pained to match.....remove the tape and there's the paint codes. :nixweiss:

Odd - I have my tank off and looked. There IS a piece of tape that was partially painted to match, half of it appeared to have been ripped off. I removed the rest and no paint code - just more tank  :nixweiss:

Who knows?

I also have my tank off and couldn't resist checking for the paint codes.

Found exactly the same thing - a piece of tape that was partially ripped off.  I also removed the rest of the tape and found nothing under it.

The MOCO could have used invisible paint on the codes to keep them safe or maybe the codes are readable with an ultra violet light who knows with today's technology anything is possible.

I will do some more checking.

Or is it on the piece of tape that was ripped off??  What does it look like the tape was there for? :nixweiss:

As far as I could tell there wasn't anything on the tape.  It is odd however that we both found a partially ripped piece of tape under the tank.

READY FOR DAYTONA
this tail light looks great, I wonder if it would cover the international pignose taillight holes?
