Toe Shifter
« on: March 22, 2012, 09:31:39 PM »

I would like to change out the heel/toe shifter with a toe shifter.
Anyone have suggestions on what looks good and matches.

I have the 2012 Black Diamond.

Thanks

Stock one looks good just remove the heel lever and get the spacer/cap at the dealer

That's exactly what we did to my wife's bike.

The stock toe shift lever is very nice, don't know of one that looks better, IMHO.  Since the heel shift lever is on the outside, just take it off and put on a chrome cap that HD sells.  Very easy to do, less than $20, and looks good.

I put a kury on my 04.  It is long enough that it moves the toe shifter to tha outside.  I like it better.  Seems easier to use.   I just ordered one for my '12.  Should be here in a few days.

I've done both the HD version on the outside and the Kury version on the inside. I prefer the Kury version because the spacer looks better on the inside IMO. It does move the toe shifter out a couple of inches which will take a little getting used to.   :2vrolijk_21:

Has anyone tried the folding heel shift lever?

Might give me best of both worlds..looking for more foot room on the floor board.

Looks like that would be a lot of fumbling around for the little use it would get.......

I like the kury too. With the stock shift lever it works really weel and very smooth. The extended lever brought mt shoe too close to the lower and it would get caught in the sliding door.  I put the stock one one with this space and it's perfect   No rattles too.  :).  I like it on the outside   Easier to reach.
