Deciding on getting a CarPlay radio, and looking at my options. Do the Boom Stage 2 speakers work with the Sony CarPlay radios, or is there some issue with how the factory amps and speakers work?

Speakers will work with the Amp, not the radio, I would choose a head unit that is made for HD as it will have the wiring harness to the AMP otherwise you will be in fits trying to get the two to mesh. in my research, i think you either keep the HD stuff or trash it completely. HD mucks their stuff up making it tough to mix with after market stuff. There are a few companies (Rockford Fosgate and J&M that offer direct replacement products, but I think they make AMPs and speakers, not head units.

It's no longer needed for me, but from reading online, only HD radio will work with their amps and speakers.
