Security system lighgbon after battery change
« on: March 20, 2019, 06:22:31 PM »

Recently put a new battery on my 2004 electraglide screamin eagle. Now my security light is on. Can anyone tell me the correct process to putting the battery in w/o the light staying on?

Replaced battery in my "Pumpkin" several times and never had that issue. :nixweiss:

Check all your turn signal lights...happened to me last year, security light stayed on and it ended up being a loose bulb.

If after checking all your lights and if you still have the security light on I would remove the main power fuse. Than disconnect both battery cables, turn on ignition and apply the brakes. Doing this will deplete any residual voltage in the system.
Turn everything off hook up the battery re install the main fuse.
Sometimes this can help reset the security module.
