Awesome car.  First car I owned was a '56 Ford convertible - 292 V8 and three on the tree.  It had about 40k when I got it and was pretty much worn out.  Cars back then wore out quickly.  But they sure had style and charisma.  Always liked the lines on the '56 most especially.  The Merc taillights may be rare but I would have preferred the OEM taillights.

I had a "55" Crown Vic with the plexiglass over the front seats, very neat. By the time I got it, it was equipped with a 272 two barrel and three on the floor. That was in 1968. Red and white.

In the family since 1955. I'm currently restoring her again. The last time for my lifetime! Currently has 312 T-bird Y-Block, 4 speed 4 wheel disc, 9" rear. Toying with going big block this time. May just put the two 4's back on the Y-block.

Nice ride!

I like the Street Rod Nationals because they're street driven cars and not trailer queens.

Here in Sacramento you see them all over the streets each night after the show, for that three or four days that they're in town.  And of course they all do the "cruise" thing.  :2vrolijk_21:

Very impressive. Probably has more $ in that than we have in our CVO's.
