Do they outperform the stock 15 CVORGU tall windshield?

I tested the Klock Werks Tour windshield in Daytona.  Worked very well, this was on Factory seat.  I was concered it would be a little to tall with the Corbin Solo I was going to put on the bike.  So I did not get it.

My wife tested and got the Klock Werks sport for her Road Glide Special.  Once I got my bike converted to solo and the corbin seat on, I tested her shield for a day.  Worked well with the seat, looked better than stock.  So I now have the Sport for my bike.  I know a few who really like it who with the stock seat, but they are under 5'10".

Be careful with the windshield screws. They use brass inserts now instead of the rubber items from past years, They will strip easily and when they do they just spin in the fairing. Saw three at the Klockwerks booth during Biketoberfest that Brian was unable to get out (Brian @ Klockwerks). The threads don't strip, the knurled insert slips in the fairing and spins when you attempt to remove the screws holding the windshield.

I talked with Brian at the Klock Werks tent at Bikeoberfest about this issue with the windshield fasteners as we were doing the test shields on mine and my wife's new road glides. 

The issue is caused by the dealer setting up the bike.  You have to be carefull not to cross thread or over torque.  Either can cause this issue. 

I have had my windshield on and off 1/2 a dozen times no issues, but I do not torque it.

I'm 6'.  I then got the Freedom Shield 15".  Found it much better than Klock Werks but still needed 1 more in.  Freedom shield offers replacement if protective cover isn't taken off.  I'm now awaiting my 16" to arrive but I'm pretty sure this is the one for me.

Had too much buffing with stock shield.  I'm 6'.  Hard to believe 1' makes that much of a difference.  Perhaps posture?

I put on the Klock Werks Sport. I am 6ft tall I don't notice any buffeting problem and have ridden with both my Modular and my 1/2 helmet. I ran her up to 105 mph yesterday everything seemed fine to me for what its worth.

Here are two CVO's with the Klockwerks Sport, dark tint on the blue, light tint on the Carbon Dust and Amber.  The Purple Special also has the sport in light tint.

My '15 CVORGU with 500 miles on it is in the HD dealer shop now, getting the third batch of 'stuff' glued on it, including the Klockwerks Sport tinted WS.  I'll let everyone know what I think in a few days.  I'm 6'0" and the wind buffeting around my shoulders and top of helmet was unacceptable with the stock shield...at any highway speed on a windless day (rare in Texas). 
Interested to hear the comment on the Freedom shield 16".  I'm new to Harley and new to the forum, but I sure am learning a lot from everyone and really appreciate it.  The HD dealer parts and service guys (albeit nice and helpful) really run out of knowledge quickly on customizing information.

Look forward to your thoughts on the Klock Werks Sport shield Old Texan. Curious to  know however ..........were you experiencing the buffeting with all (or some) of the fairing vents closed? The buffeting was supposed to be eliminated "by design" with the vents open ........curious as to your scenario.

I am 6'1" and have had the Klock sport on my SERGU for a few thousand miles now, had the stock on a few thousand miles also, bike has just over 8K on it.

Either shield I get buffeting on with the vents closed. 

With either shield the least amount of buffeting is with all three vents open.

I like the Klock much better in the looks department.  They are very close to the same in the performance with a slight nod to the Klock.  I think if I was an inch or two shorter the Klock would be much better, not just a little better.

My wife is 5'6", on a RG Special, she runs the Klock Sport and loves it.
