I hate the stock styled exhaust headers as they are a pain in the butt to take off and reinstall. Do most 2 into one headers come apart before the collector? I just want to be able to deal with one head at a time.

Not Dragulas.

You can install the primary pipe on 2 into 1, and then install the collector. Very easy, and hassle free.

Collector? Perhaps I misunderstood. The "muffler"? or the "y" section?

If I read the original post correctly, I think he wants to be able to install or remove each cylinder's headpipe separately, instead of both headpipes at the same time. Most 2 into 1 exhausts I've seen in recent times aren't made that way, but rather have both headpipes welded to a collector, which in turn is a slip fit to the muffler.

That's the way I read it also.

Collector is the muffler section.

RB Racing offers something like that.

That pipe (RB) is loud enough to wake up the dead. ;D

Yes, that was what I was hoping for. My last pipe was a RB racing pipe and wasn’t too bad.
