'19 CVO RG - 117 engine upgrade - need advice
« on: October 11, 2019, 04:37:35 PM »

Hi all...

I've got 4,600 miles on the bike, no issues.  PowerVision/Bassani Head Pipe/SVT Boneshakers. I'm looking for more low-mid range.

I can either 1) add a new cam (Woods 22X) with rods and lifters, 2) A 128 Kit, or 3) Harley Stage 4 w/ported heads, and I would add a better cam.

Any opinions? Looking for torque from 30-70 mph, passing power, and just more balls.  Don't care about top end or max HP.

Thanks!

Biggest bang for the buck is a cam. TTS-150 works very well . Other ideas you have are for making big horse power numbers.

I just had Red Shift 468 installed in my 2019 CVO Limited. All I can say is wow!  I have a Thundermax tuner and CSR 2-1-2 head pipe.

Beautiful bike. From what I've read I'd say go with a torque cam. It'll also give your bike a better grumble.

I'm between that cam and the Fueling Reaper 465.

I went with all HD to give it a shot, stage II torque cam, SE tuner w/wide band module, rinehart slimline and 4" slip ons, 99HP 121TQ and its right in the sweet spot your looking for. You'll get better with the power vision and the 117 I would say.

So i have the same bike, and added the SE Turner, SE Header pipe and the SE Street cannons. As I understand it the CVO already has the High Performance cam. So I would recommend the Stage III. $1,695.00 and if your dealer does the Black Fri deals like mine, no labor charged when purchased on Black Fri!!
