I bought a part from Custom Dynamic # 2040-2523. Running lights work as well as the turn signals. Why doesn't the brake lights work on the custom part? My original lights still function but the CD led running, brake, turn doesn't show the brakes coming on. Any solutions? Thanks in advance 😅

What bike model and year are you installing the lights on?  That part number also doesn't show up on a search of the CD site or the Drag Specialties site, even though it is similar to Drag Specialties numbers for Custom Dynamics lights.

I still can't find anything under that part number you mentioned.  What kind of light is it, tour-pak high mount, luggage rack lamp, or what?  Contact Custom Dynamics and ask them.  They've always seemed to have good customer service in the past, give them a call.

If they are the bag lights that go on just under the lid of the saddle bag on the back of the saddle bag, it says either the computer needs to be flashed or you need to buy the module that plugs in under the left side cover. IF that is what you bought. I only know that cause I am looking at getting the bag lights for my 16 cvo sg and it is in the description that the computer needs to be flashed for ALL functions to work.

Thank U. I bought a high tour pak light. It fits in the crease in the middle. I will give them a call first thing Monday. Thanks again for your response.

Any update?

Btw, it seems strange they would design a small center mounted light that includes a turn signal function.  It would make MUCH more sense to have it be just a high center mounted run/brake light.  If they don't have a workaround for the CVO to enable all three functions, I think I'd ask for a mod to just enable the brake and run functions.  There must be a relatively easy way to rewire it that way, even with CAN bus.

I called CD and found a solution. A Triple Play module. Installed it and now everything is working like it's supposed to. Thanks to everyone that responded.

CD has always come through for me too, great company.  Glad it all worked out.
