Title: Rear Seat Bumper Pad Change -
Post by: Designflaw on August 13, 2019, 02:42:14 PM
I love the decorative rack I bought but hated the chrome bumper pads under it so I bought black ones. Probably the hardest thing I have done. Dealer parts guy couldn't find them so they must be after market, basically said they didn't exist from Harley. Had to actually pull the seat off of a 19 Maco blue RG to show him. Then got on this forum found a post and got the part number. Then they wanted full retail of about $36 bucks each, pulled up Surdyke which was about 22% off retail and said I'll just order them. Parts manager saw that I had been there for over 20 minutes and walking away. After the story he matched the price.

Short story longer, they are here, (under wrong name so another 20 minutes) but they are in hand and look great, can't wait to put them on. I have come to expect great quality from US Made Harley parts..... Wait, Taiwan? Oh well they are here  :drink:

Yes, Yes I do, but "NEED" is a strong word lol. Any chance you know a guy who has one that feels sorry for a fella and might take a big loss?  :drink:
