Just a couple of questions....Does the 2014 detachable mount put the backrest at the same location as the detachable sissy bar backrest?...What's the going rate to have a tour pak custom painted? (it's been a while since I had anything painted)...Is there anything you would have done differently if you had to do it again?

I tried the 13 rack. It was to close. Closer than stock sissybar and pad. So I purchased the 14 rack because there are slots for adjustment. Actually mine is adjusted all the way forward now. BSR loves it. Xtreme's paint and scheme worked out great. Can't say enough good things about them. I had to have my older Corbin pad worked a little but it turned out well. They don't make one for the chopped box yet. The chopped box actually has more cubic inches of space than the older King box. Very happy with set up.Just curious, does having the tourpak hanging that far off the rear of the bike affect your handling? For example does the front feel a little light at times? I only ask because I've noticed that if I put to much stuff in mine the front end can get a little squirley and the CUSE pack doesn't seem to hang as far off the back.

I agree... If you compare the position of the '14 TP on that SG, it appears a lot further back than on an Ultra. Just looking at the position of the back of the TP as compared to the rear fender, it seems to be out way further than my Ultra.
Having said that, the '14 TP looks amazing on that bike.

First time I ever used it I had only had the bike for a month, first multi-day bike trip (Sturgis), and packed to much stuff. Went to take off on the bike and it felt like the front end wasn't touching the road. :nervous:

Tell you what, if he rides to the Valley, I will clean that beautiful bike of yours (it's ok, I'm experienced) so you can enter DickW's contest.
He will talk a lot but he's not going to show.
I called Tommy's bookie to see if anyone was placing bets. They said no and are calling d00d's showing a non event.

Folks I followed this as I was looking for advice. Will ye please get a Grip and stick to the subject.
I was amazed to hear that when the tour pack was loaded that the bike felt that the front wheel of the harley was lifting off the ground...
I have been riding Harleys since 2015 and NEWER had or felt the front lifting,,,,, Do ye realise the weight of a Harley compared to a Suzuki GSXR, well the normal harleys do not lift or feel light on the front.
I have had a Heritage, sporster, Duece. Road King, 2 Ultras and a Road Glide CVO ultra so i am speaking from experience having done well over 200,000 miles on bikes.
