Title: 2010 CVO Street Glide
Post by: richard1987 on July 24, 2009, 03:50:24 PM
Had a phone call off my dealer today asking if i wanted to put down a £1000 deposit on a 2010 CVO Street Glide, he confimed that the CVO models will be Fat Bob, Ultra, Street Glide didn't listen to the forth as he said street gilde!!!!  He said they are availble in three colour all with gold leaf. only caught a couple of the colours as my head was still buzzing, think he said something?rum and tequila sunrise and another colour which is the colour on the picture but can't remember what he said.  He also said there will be limited availbilty due to poor sales of the 2009.  Am going to see him 9am in the morning to get more details (can't wait!!!)

Those you wishing your dream is coming true!  :huepfenjump3:

Paint scheme will look somewhat similar to the 2004 & 2005 SEEG's with an Eagle head worked in. From the rear it will look a lot like the 2009 SERG right down to you'll have to pony up more $$$ for a tour pack if you want one.

While I really like the SE head on the tank, the ghost flames need to go. The motorcycle industry has beaten that horse to death. Flames are dead.

And it's the same SEEG flames all over again.  The flame color and panel color were good complements on the SEEGs.  The flames complemented the graphics as well.  Now they just keep throwing them on because, seemingly, they don't know how not to.

Anybody seen the Spice Rum color in person. Trying to decide if I want the blue or the Spice Rum. I am leaning toward the Spice Rum color, but it looks like it has a tint of purple in it which I don't think I would want since I am not a fan of purple. Or maybe a Burgundy color. Any thoughts ? Which one do you like ?

Not sure if it was ever fitted on SG but comes without central lock. Got used to this nice option on my SE Ultra EG.

I couldn't agree more. If I want to change things up a little, I'll copy you and just remove the TourPak.

Been waiting for the SE Street Glide now for a couple years, Dealer called me yesterday to tell me that its out this year, But now that i have seen the colors think i'll keep my SERK and just put a fairing on it. Don't think i can handle the black rims and painted upper forks. Will be intresting to see how the new rear shocks ride and handle.

Favorite Color: Razor Red and Chrome

The wheels look cool and it would be very easy to replace the painted fork covers with chromed ones.  I wouldn't let those little issues turn me around.  I think they'll realize a home run with the SESG.  They just had a tough hill to climb with the SEEG comparison, and remember the initial SEEG didn't come with a tourpac either.   spyder

There's nothing like an OEM fairing, IMO.  I've got my Dragonfly on eBay as I type as I'm getting rid of my totally customized Road King awaiting for the 10's.  Had my heart set on an SESG but am a bit disappointed in the colors like many of you.

Hey Guys:
I'm in! - Just Ordered the Blue yesterday. Arrival August 10 (NH).
Long summer, literally lost my mind in March and traded my 03RK (which I loved) in for a 1300BMWGT . I have no idea what I was thinking. My friends thought I was out of my mind.  Drove around with my Harley jacket on  lasted 2800 miles and just sold the thing.  I went to the Harley dealer and just sitting on a Harley made me feel sooo much better. Its good to  be back.
Regarding color: - Burgundy is sweet but I the sleeper could be the Tequila.

The new FLHXSE has a new hydraulic rear shock with a hand adjustable pre-load.  I used it and was not too fond of it.  Time will tell if buyers like it.
It is a sick looking bike.  A must have.

Ditto here  ;D...... I put a deposit on one about 2 months ago, in hopes there would be a SESG.  My Dealer advises early September for delivery.  I was kindda bummed there was not a vivid black available, but I'm partial to the "Spiced Rum"...... Can't wait  :orange:

Saw it's twin today. In the garage it looked brown. They wheeled it outside and she really showed her colors. Very nice. The gold stripe has to be seen! She's a real looker!!!

However, I'm staying with what I have: JMO
Did not like the gloss black interior fairing
Seat height was taller and wider than I expected. I could just get flat footed with my 29" inseam
Wasn't wild about the flame design of the front fender.

Don't get me wrong, this is an outstanding scooter. Maybe next years will grab me!

Will the new style O2 sensors make you have to use the stock head pipe at this time? Do the non-CVO have the same sensor style without cats in the head pipe?

Ever notice that this image isn't copyrighted? It appears it has been in the public domain so long, no one can claim ownership.
If it were, the Screaming Eagle 101st ARMY Airborne corps would have it long before HD starting using it.  :2vrolijk_21:   spyder

Is it just me, or does it seem that the  Screamin Eagle head logo has changed somewhat?

I think it's basically the same, they just foolishly decided to use a subdued graphic color for the details of the eagle head and outlined it with brighter highlighted pin striping.  It's always in the details.  The "Spiced Rum" color however, sure looks so much better in the sun than in the HD photos!

the screamin chicken on the tank looks great!!  And when the sun hits that gold leaf, it really jumps off the tank with that burnt-red paint contrasting it.  I couldn't believe how it looked when the rolled mine out of the garage to look at it outdoors.  No pics yet...I'm still waiting for them to sell my 08 SG, then I'll pick it up....can't wait either...it is a very sweet looking ride.  But I can see where this color won't be for everyone.  If you want a color that's going to "blind" you like I think the Tequila Sunrise will, then you won't like this color.  It's a very deep rich looking almost burgandy color....It "does" it for me.  :2vrolijk_21:

I had been looking at the red version for a couple of years then seen the blue one. I bought the blue one (my favorite color).
