Very nice, BlueICE.....congratulations!

Does the CONV not already come with SE muffs?  Is there a better SE muffler to use over what comes stock on these?

This question has been pounded on over and over but the stock muffs sound like a Lexus. The 49 State SE Muffs have a little louder sound to them (not much) and they come without the cat material in the inlet neck. But, the stock heat shields will not fit them. The compatible shields are pretty pricey.

The Rush have been used by a few and kept while others take them off as soon as they find something that sounds better. Some of the guys have gone to a thunderheader and others have street sweapers. Guess it's all about how loud you like and what sound you are looking for and if you want to keep the stock look.

When this CVO class first came out there was little to choose from but if you look at the Rush catalog you will see that any muff for a softail besides a Deluxe or CrossBone will work. Then the manufacturer is up to you.

Great information Mr. Wizard, thanks :)
I am planning on staying 'street legal' for California this time around and figured my only option was SE.
So my question is: Knowing that SE is legal, any other brand suggestions that are street legal for CA?

Sorry Sir... the only street legal muffs for your ConV has the cat converter inside the inlet end. Your choices are limited to about none but the 50 state legal SE muff which is just a tick louder than your stock muffs but will get another tick louder with age.

You also must be concerned about keeping the EPA stamp on the bottom of the muff cans. No aftermarket muffs that I know have the stamp. Although I maybe wrong about that. Maybe someone else will chime in with a different story.

In the 2010 I have the orange inferno. The crimson one was the most popular and the blue one was the least. Now I have seen two of the 2011 in person, the red and maple, but the blue one looks pretty awesome! Thanks for the pics!

My two cents of what I like:

2010
1. Orange
2. Crimson
3. Blue

2011
1. Blue
2. Red
3. Maple

One of these days, I'll take some pictures outdoors in the natural light and the colors will even look better with all the metalic paint.  It's even more awesome IMHO.

Picking my blue 2011 FLSTSE2 up tomorrow from Bayside Harley in Portsmouth VA.  This is my first softail.  I just traded in my 2008 Fat Bob for it.  I had a 2003 Dyna Super Glide before that and a 1981 Low Rider before the Super Glide.
