I know that this question is very subjective. But I am going back and forth between purchasing an SE Dyna or an SE Fat Boy and wanted to see what you like/dislike about your bikes.
I've owned 3 HDs in the past (2002 Deuce, 2002 Fat Boy, and 2006 Street Glide), so in general know about the Fat Boy ride, handling, and comfort. I have ridden a 2006 SE Far Boy. I've not ridden the SE Dyna (closest I've ridden would be a Street Bob).
Thanks in advance. John

Fatboy
Best colors ever

The only reason I did not include the 2005 SE Fat Boy on my list is that I prefer the paint schemes on the 2006 models (particularly the autumn haze/blue model).

yup 2006 colors :drink:

I have been tracking them on Ebay and if you are patient, I have seen them sell as low as $22k. Well worth the money. I have no clue why anyone would buy a stock 07 08 Fatboy new. I had a 03 Fatboy and there is a difference. The 06 is smaller and rides a bit harsher compared to the 03. I took the 03 to Sturgis and back from Seattle but would be afraid to do that with my 06. Still, the 06 SE Fatboy is a very very nice bike.
The other SE I like is the Springer..

Not sure if we're supposed to talk $$$ on this site, but the 2006 SE Fat Boys and the 2007/2008 SE Dynas are going on eBay for well under $22k. More like upper teens.

if under 20, I would bet the reserve is not met. Sure there will be one or two that are dumped at below 20k but I would be those have issues or high mileage...
I know I ain't buying new any more. I also have a 03 RG and will wait a year or two to pick up my 09 SE RG.

Definitely a buyer's market. High teens are buy-it-now prices. And I've seen plenty at dealers for high teens too. And every one of them with under 5,000 miles. Many in the 2,000-3,000 mile range, so virtually new bikes.
Unfortunately, I broke my foot last night...so I am likely going to wait a couple of months now anyhow.
