I added 11 blue LED lights to my 04 SEEG to highlight the bikes chrome features at night. Following is a pic, not a avery good one, but you'll get an idea what it looks like.

looks kewl, what was involved with the setup?
-
I've already ordered my lights from Kuryaken. I thought I was going to be the first. [smiley=cry2.gif]
It looks great! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Those are not Kuryakyn lights. I ordered LED step and courtesy lights from www.boogey.com I have a Word document I can email you if you're interested in what I installed where. Later I may add the stereo interface that pulses the lights to music. I did all the work myself and the total cost was less than $200. You can get these installed at the lareger bike rallies, but the cost for that many lights will be $600+
I've had about as many compliments on the lights as I have the bike. I started a little side business installing them and have done about ten bikes so far. The lghts do come in orange, which would be perfect for the orange/black SEEG.

Whoa! SEEGdom taken to the next level. Where did you guys stategically place the lights? What's the basic electrical hookup? I thought I was done with my ride, but I guess not - I can rationalize this one because on a practical side you're a hell of a lot more visible at night - man that's sweet!!! PJ

JCZ, that's unreal! Sounds like your cities finest had nothing better to do. Was it in the fall by chance? Maybe their X-mas party was lacking funding. [smiley=cry2.gif]

MoChrome .... the led lights look sharp! I'm going to check out the site you listed [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Hey skooby,
I've had amber lights on mine since last year's sturgis. best thing about our bikes is that the amber is legal [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Thanks for the info will have to check out the orange ones. [smiley=beerchug.gif]

And......that they go with the Gold better than any other color light! [smiley=laugh.gif]

JCZ,

The lights also come in purple, which might also look good on the black/blue SEEG. I am careful not to ride with mine on in places I know the cops are picky. Plus the switch is easy to reach so I can shut them off quickly. Gee officer, what blue lights? That must have been your headlights reflecting off my cobalt blue paint :)

Ok guys, back up a little here. Why are these lights a problem that they have to regulate them? Do they resemble police light colors? Impair vision?

Psycho I believe the law was passed to prevent people from going out there and playing cop and messing with people at night. But they just didn't put any particular limits or boundries on it so you get some over zealous barney fife type and you get a ticket.

GB.... the install looks easy enough for me even [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]. Can you post some pics, I'd like to see the amber? I was debating amber vs orange.

Let me get my digital camera back and I'll get some nightime pics for you.

As if the SEEGs don't already draw plenty of attention. But I have to agree with everyone else, the lights look sweet in the picture.

I have a couple blue neon tubes under the frame cost around $40. I bought them at the local auto parts store. everybody tells me that they are illegal... I've seen many cops and never been stopped until the other day, a cop pulled up beside me and asked where I got the neon lights, I told him and he said that they look cool, the light turned green and I drove off........ I guess the cops don't have problems with them? so I guess I add more
