Title: 13 tour pack on a 17 street glide
Post by: Singlebeam on October 14, 2017, 04:57:49 PM
I adapted a 2013 tour pack to my 2017 street glide. I had to add a spacer between the mount and the tour pack so the saddle bag lids would open. The new style tour packs are tapered on the bottom edge which allows the bags to open. https://youtu.be/BackV_ceVlU (https://youtu.be/BackV_ceVlU)

Interesting.  Just yesterday I had my 13 CVO Ultra Classic in a ride in bike show here in Heber Springs, Ark. and right next to a 2017.  As I sit on the steps waiting for time to click by, I noticed that my tour pack is actually larger than the 2017, due to the tapered lid and tapered underside of the 17.

Great mod and great function!  :2vrolijk_21:  In the solo position, if the arms of the backrest get in your way, Corbin makes a much smaller pad for the tour pack.... http://www.corbin.com/accessories/hdpak14tpad.shtml

Thanks guys, I can move the tour pack back a little because there is another set of mounting holes in the bracket. The arms aren't in my way. I just returned from a 5800 mile trip and it came in handy. I will probably move the box to the other set of holes because I was sitting more upright than I like.
