2007 fxdse handlebar

I bought my fxdse a couple of months ago, but due to my height i really need to change the bars. I love how they look but i feel very cramped with them on long rides. Other than bending the bars, does anyone know what other options do i have ( i want to put either  high t-bars or apes).
Are the gauges really welded to these bars? Or can i take them off and fabricate them on a custom set of bars?
