We also need the explode view page so we could figure out how all these pieces go together   ;D

I got some pictures from Porky from the 2011 manual.  It shows the parts and identifies the part numbers.  They're from the 2011 parts manual.  I don't know if we can post them here or not?  Any suggestions, Porky?

OK as promised.  If anybody tries this, please post your results. Attached is a complete word document with pictures to modify a 2010 fairing to the 2011 style with sound with part numbers needed to purchase.  Please verify for yourself, as I don't guarantee anything in this post. I think it is accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge with the information that I have available to me.

I, too, wanted the 2011 CVO fairing with speakers for my ride. I had three independent HD parts people check to see whether my ride could be converted.  It cannot not.  While the two CVO diagram manuals appear to be show the same parts; they are not so says the HD main technical folks.  The entire front end would have to be changed out among other things.  It would be easier to purchase the 2011 CVO (okay not really but it would be expensive).  I am considering having a fairing built with speakers for my bike this summer.  If it works I'll post the results.

I think they're wrong, but it'll cost around $1400 anyway, so I doubt anyone will do it.  I compared the 2010 parts with the 2011 parts manual.  Many parts are the same, so I believe the fairing is the same size, different number because of color. What do sales guys know anyway?  Just kidding!! I'm sure they have their reasons for saying it can't be done.  Good luck which ever way you go.

While I went through 2 salespersons they contacted HD's techs.  Each one was told the same thing, the electrical is different and the fairing will not fit.  I, too, called HD directly (trust but verify) and I was told the same.  I was told the forks would have to be changed, among other things, which would be costly.  I could not just swap out the parts.  The numbers do not reflect the color but rather the year (or model within the year) i.e. 2010 versus 2011 version of the CVO Convertible.  Anyway, I think it would cheaper to just have a fairing made with speakers for the 2010. I'll know this summer.
