Title: 49mm Fatbob Front End on FXR4 ?
Post by: ltank on February 27, 2012, 08:23:50 PM
Hi,
Has anyone installed a 49mm front end on a FXR4? I love the looks of the big fork tubes on the Fatbob Font End. The FatBob has the 2000 and up style dual brakes, 49mm fork tubes and wide tripple tree. Does anyone know the part numbers for the lower legs tripple tree etc,. I heard that the Wide Glide uses a raked tree? I thought raked trees were a NO-NO. I looked untill I got confused. Or should I stick with the 41mm front end. What over stock Wide Gile front end needs to be equal to the stock FXR4 front end?
Thanks,
Lynn

Hi Guys,
I looked up prices on all the parts needed and it was very pricey about 1,600 bucks. Possably a front wheel needed that would be even mor money.
I was also looking at the Ultima 49mm front end for alot less money. Using a 3/4" axle I could keep my wheel.
Are Ultima front ends any good? Does anyone have any issues with their forks?
Thanks,
Lynn
