X2. Tho each his own, but there's not enough contrast to make the custom paint standout.

Agreed..............
RIDE ON, nevertheless..............

Yeah agree with you guys too, just wanted to post pictures for those guys who might be undecided on colour and can see the black and yellow with picks taken outside for once.
The custard sorry banana bike is a bit to much yellow for me but the flames do stand out well, just not my cup of tea, the star fire black I think you would walk by and not notice it's a CVO, looks like a normal vivid black, bit of a shame as I think they should have had grey or silver flames with a light ghosting effect which would have been awesome.
Still great bikes in there own right.

What was the weather like? Doesn't look like a very sunny day. Maybe that's just me hoping my black and gold bike will look nicer when it arrives. :nixweiss:

I like the yellow...

I think this color scheme will rock in bright sunlight but will be very understated when its cloudy. I can't wait to see it in person.
-
That's what my 2012 was like. If the sun was out, the phantom flames really stood out, but with no sun, it looked like a regular gloss black bike.
I'm not big on super bright colors that stick out a mile away, more on the subtle colors that "pop" when you are next to them.
-
Love my yellow CVO just put the new V&H 450's on her, look and sound great!
-
:worthless:
How do the new 450's compare to the high outputs? I assume sound wise they are pitched between the twin slash ovals and the high outputs.
-
The dealer told me today that the yellow ones are out of production.

My sentiments exactly. When I was looking to buy recently there was an orang/silver model,a red on red ,and the black with the ghost flames. For the same reason you described I chose the same colour scheme as you.I'm just not in to the" in your face " colours. To me they scream "look at me". No disrespect intended to the guys that like these colours as that's what makes this world of motorcycling a beautiful place. We are all different.

Your assumption is correct.....they are probably louder and have more deep tone than high outputs. I was big fan of exhuast that cracked but as I get older this tone is a nice sound....plus I really want to hear that rocking stereo. I also put on VH PD header.

The subtly is a big draw for me. There is something about that moment when you catch something you hadn't previously noticed and it's like "OH WOW! I didn't see that before."
-
The yellow flake pops while in the sun. It is quite impressive!

"Crikey" they must be loud then as i have the high outputs with power duals and they are plenty loud enough with a nice deep vibe,
i used to have the CFR's they were extremely deep, swapped them out for high outputs as the CFR'S lose way to much back pressure and tricky to tune,
i found the high outputs just right regarding deep sound and great torque and "tunability". :jalapeno:

I heard the same thing last week, yellow is done.

Picked mine up today....I did notice during my factory tour that there seemed to be an unportional amount of yellow painted parts in the quality control area :nixweiss:
-
Congrats on the pick up!! :2vrolijk_21: Yeah, who knows?

here is mine
