Title: Rhein River Cruise Challenge
Post by: Fast FLHX on August 20, 2011, 02:35:56 AM
Went on my first ride with the krypto yesterday.  I live about 30 min from the Rhein river valley in Germany so it was a natural choice for a first ride.

The Challenge.  See how many castles and medieval structures you can count!

Now that sounds great. I need to see if my company (ITT Systems) has work available and do a couple of years in Germany. Had a blast in Garmisch but need to venture north and west or east. Renting a bike for a week would be fun but just not enough time to see much. WOnder if I could buy a bike through ENCS and then have it shipped home. That would work if I live in Germany but to visit and pick one up, ride it awhile and then send it back to the States probably wouldn't. Unless I bought a Beemer.

Maybe I'm missing something but it looks like you're into GTO's as well. 2006 PBM GTO, stock with M6 and around 18,500 miles but a 416 sounds like fun. I'll have to wait for the download of the River Cruise and then I'll look at some of the other videos you've posted.  :2vrolijk_21:

Yeah, I work my way through toys.  One at a time is the new rule with a 6 month old.  Got the CVO and had to sell the baby or the Cobra.

Before the Cobra I had a 6.8L forged GTO built up with 150 shot N2O and ran a 10.16 @ 135 in the 1/4th.  Loved that GTO.  Sold it to a lucky SOB in Pittsburgh.

That stretch of castles is over about 60KM, amazing ride.

Sounds like an awesome Goat. Looking forward to scope out the videos and of course the castles. You tube downloader is being a pain and wish I hadn't upgraded. A lot has to do with non-available bandwidth but I'll see if it'll pick it up through the night. Thanks for posting the GTO video and I hear you on one toy at a time. Just wish I was smart enough to approach it that way...would save a bit o' cash that way.

Spent some time traveling in Germany and Switzerland a while back and our goal was to find as many castles and Harley dealers we could. Had a blast !!!

I used to ride up B-9 from Worms am Rhein to Bingen; taste a little wine and try to figure out where the heck I was and how to get back home.  Great rides along that route!
